You might say they are ... tunnelling

u/VitaminnCPP Mar 29 '23 edited Mar 29 '23

I don't need tunnel, I have Virtual private Jet.

Over public train network.

This must be the transport layer.

u/legends_never_die_1 Mar 29 '23

It's probably filled with WRT54gs

u/maximovious Mar 29 '23

I wonder how they got my website's IP address when I haven't even launched it yet.

9

u/pipsvip Mar 29 '23

Chinese hackers. There's a rumor that TikTok may use your home wifi.

u/b_ootay_ful Mar 29 '23

I just want to go 127.0.0.1

"All passengers looking to make a change to another Class C address, please get off at the next stop and follow the signs for RFC 1918.

Do you know your destination port? Subway port-maps can be found clearly marked at every stop. If you are unable to find the port-map, please ask an RPC-service member.

This train makes the following stops: 192.168.4.0/22"

That's a really long route, gotta be at least 1000 stops on that line.

Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I can find location by its internal IP.

5

u/Beautiful-Lobster943 Mar 29 '23

3

u/That-Row-3038 Mar 29 '23

I hate to break it to you mr train, but you aren’t unique in that regard

3

u/psilo_polymathicus Mar 29 '23

I’m just impressed that they changed the 3rd octet to 5.

3

u/maxsjakie Mar 29 '23

Fun thing. I also saw an IP address on the front of a train yesterday lmaoo

3

u/noonewantstowerk Mar 29 '23

Someone turn on spanning train protocol

3

u/pimezone Mar 29 '23

Remember, after each station your Time To Live shortens by one hop.

2

u/ScrotumFlavoredTaint Mar 29 '23

Just like in real life!

2

u/Mission_Egg4330 Mar 29 '23

Localhost .. Cute, keep hairpinning to local services - you'll enter the same station you left from 😝

2

u/D34TH_5MURF__ Mar 29 '23

I hope you aren't implying that 192.168.0.0/16 addresses are localhost. I hope you mean that the next stop after the one shown will be 127.0.0.1.

2

u/Mercurionio Mar 29 '23

The best on this photo is that people are reading BOOKS. The real one, not digital

1

u/goddess_steffi_graf Mar 29 '23

saint petersburg 🤗

2

u/FantasticGas1836 Mar 30 '23

Hey, that's my stop :-)

-1

u/Jimothy_Egg Mar 29 '23

Genuinely confused. Do you mean "next stop"?

Cause that's a phrase that's broadcast on public transport. I have never heard "next hop"

4

u/D34TH_5MURF__ Mar 29 '23

People often talk about networks making a hop from one ip to another. So in terms of networking, talking about the "next hop" makes sense.

1

u/Netnyoohoo Mar 29 '23

Home sweet home

1

u/0xGDi Mar 29 '23

Take your bet! Which comes first? Your station, or TTL 0?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '23

Tell me you don’t know what localhost means without telling me you don’t know what localhost means.

1

u/Serious_Web7948 Mar 29 '23

404 next station not found

1

u/ShinigamiEX Mar 29 '23

That’s not local host….

1

u/Drippify_The_Femboy Mar 29 '23

Who doxxed my subway train?

1

u/johncholmes13 Mar 29 '23

Works on my computer 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Economy-Cake3636 Mar 29 '23

I have always wanted to meet and thank the host

1

u/bearwood_forest Mar 29 '23

This protocol has enormous bandwith, but a car gets better ping. Though for large amounts of data and acceptable response times, nothing beats cloud-based transport.

1

u/CYKO_11 Mar 29 '23

my game data taking the worst possible route to the server

1

u/HCG_Dartz Mar 30 '23

Finally, after all this year's... Home

1

u/Zestyclose_Link_8052 Mar 30 '23

I got some bad news, you are being transmitted using UDP. Should something happen to your carriage, they will eventually send the next metro or bus and you won't be retransmitted.

home sweet 127.0.0.1.
