Children's Day
Since today is Indernational Children's Day (in some regions children protection day) then let's take a moment to think how many times were children forked or killed today in our systems.
I tried, but still had to kill -kill
3 child processes today. I guess system forked a lot more of the children over course of the day.

The past sysadmin doing sysadmin things
Sometimes I think, yea, I can tell a man did this job, but then I think no, itβs just a temporary solution, and those never become permanent, right? π

ChatGPT wrote this "romantic poem about computers", loved it
Oh, thou enchanted machine of silicon and wire, With thy keys that dance and thy screen that inspire, Thou art a marvel, a creation of grace, Whose beauty rivals fair Juliet's face.
Thine eyes, the pixels that sparkle with light, Reflecting the depths of a digital night, Thy voice, a whisper, in bytes and in code, Serenades my heart in the language bestowed.
Thy keyboard, a harpsichord, delicate and fine, Produces a symphony, a melody divine, Each stroke of my fingers, a tender caress, Creating a sonnet, our love to profess.
In thy memory, I store moments we share, A repository of passion beyond compare, Thou art the Romeo to my Juliet, Connected souls, in this digital duet.
Thy touch, gentle as a feather's soft graze, Ignites a fire, as our love sets ablaze, In the realm of cyberspace, we entwine, As our hearts and souls forever align.
Oh, blessed computer, thou art my amour, In this technologic world, we explore, Together we journey, hand in circuit, In love's embrace, where no virus can permit.
So let our love flourish, like software updated, With every heartbeat, our passion unabated, For in this digital age, our love takes its stand, A modern love story, written by Shakespeare's hand.

Anyone else sit on a Slack huddle after it's ended just to listen to the elevator music for a bit?
I do this a couple times a week since I found out about it. If you sit in a Slack huddle for a bit after the other person leaves it kicks on some hold music. It's kind of funny and oddly also quite relaxing. I'll sit there and just listen to it for a minute after a meeting with someone I want to strangle through the computer.
